PNP
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) provides the provinces/territories the benefits of targeted recruiting and selecting foreign nationals who can help meet the specific local labour market and economic needs. Provinces or territories set their own selection criteria and guidelines for selecting qualified applicants. Provinces or territories have own immigration streams based on applicant’s education, skills, work experience etc. For example, provinces and territories may target students, businesspeople, skilled workers, or semi-skilled workers.
There are 2 application stages for foreign nationals who apply to be nominated under this program:
- Apply to the province for nomination, and
- Apply to Federal govt for permanent residence.
